Description
Dr. Keith Johnson came to the Black Hills in 1957. He opened the Mountain View Veterinary Clinic in 1961, and served Rapid City and the surrounding community for 39 years. An active member of the Rapid City Rotary Club, Dr. Johnson also participated in the creation of Storybook Island. In this interview, Dr. Johnson tells stories of his early years practicing veterinary medicine, the inception of Storybook Island, and the impact and aftermath of the 1972 flood on both his practice and the community.
