Vyonne Glaze and her daughter Amy Hendricks speak to interviewer with Bev Pechan. Vyonne has been a member of the Rapid City community since 1948. She discusses her experiences of many of the local historical events that have shaped the people and landscapes of this area, such as the Blizzard of '49, "Spirit of 6", the 1972 Flood, and many others.
Vyonne's daughter Jan was one of the 6 cheerleaders lost in a plane crash in 1968, which inspired the "Spirit of Six" award. Vyonne talks about her loss and the award. She also talks about her brother Harley's experience in World War II, various businesses in downtown Rapid City, and her memories of the 1972 Flood.
